JOB RESPONSIBILITY
Function Strengths
Welding Process: MMA, MIG/ MAG, TIG.
Inspection of Structural items: Column, Spiral laders, Brackets, Girder, Platform etc.
Inspection of Piping Items: Nozzles, Pipe spool, Header, Pipe Flanges system etc.
Testing: Mechanical( Tensile, Bend),NDT, Hydro testing, RF Pad Pneumatic testing,
Vacuum Box testing of Annular & Bottom Plates weld joints, Dimensional check, Welder
qualification test etc.
Resource: Man Power Handling, Work supervision, Team working attitude.
DUTIES & TASK
- To check out defects in welding (SAW, MIG TIG, Gas Welding & Electrode Welding)
by LPT Test, Magnetic Particles Test, Ultrasonic Test, Radiographic Test.
- To Reviewing of welding procedure specification (EQT, WPS & PQR).
- Preparation of Quality Assurance Plans.
- Document Review like WPS, Procedures etc.
- Using codes- API 1104. ASME SEC V. ASME SEC IX. ASME SEC II. ASME B 31.8.
- Preparation & Review of WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications) as per applicable codes.
- Witness & Review of EQT,WPS& PQR.
- Conducting Procedure Qualification and welder qualification test.
- Fit-up and visual inspection of all piping welding works from prefabrication to field installation.
- Inspection of all welding activities prior, during, and after welding which include material check,
qualificationand welding equipments.
- Witnessing Magnetic particle test interpretation, Ultrasonic test and LPT.
- Making all the quality reports like welder’s performance report and NDT report as per client
specification.
- Preparation of welding parameters for welders as per WPS.
- Visual inspection of welds.
- Witnessing pneumatic and hydro testing of piping, tanks and equipments.
- Make Records of all Inspection Stages.
- Witness & review of NDT i.e. UT, MT, PT.
- To interpretation of RT films.
- To check out the hydro testing of pipeline.
