Role OverviewHelp us ensure the quality and reliability behind every protein we bring to life.As our Laboratory Technician - Protein Analytics, you'll be the hands-on backbone of our analytical lab, running the routine testing that tells us exactly what's happening inside our fermentation-derived proteins. From HPLC-UV runs to sample prep for proteomics and protein assays, your careful, well-documented work gives our scientists the data they need to keep pushing our precision fermentation platform forward.Location: Frankfurt am Main.About FormoAt Formo, we’re rebuilding dairy to help create a just and resilient food system. Key ResponsibilitiesAnalytical TestingPerform routine HPLC-UV analyses according to established SOPsConduct protein assays (e.g. Bradford) and support physicochemical analyses (e.g. particle size determination)Sample PreparationPrepare samples for proteomics analyses (e.g. protein extraction, digestion, purification)Documentation & QualityThoroughly evaluate and document results in accordance with internal guidelinesInstrument ManagementOperate, clean, calibrate and maintain analytical instrumentsCross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with scientists to support ongoing projectsAbout YouEducation & ExperienceCompleted training as a BTA, CTA or comparable qualificationInitial practical laboratory experience (e.g. through training, internships or entry-level work)Technical & Functional SkillsBasic knowledge of HPLC or chromatographic methods is a plusGood documentation skillsEnglish proficiency at least B1 level (spoken and written); German is a plusMindset & Collaboration Careful, structured and reliable working style, with high motivation and scientific curiosity to learn new techniquesGenuine interest in protein analytics and biochemical methodsTeam-oriented mindset with a strong sense of responsibilityWhy you’ll love it hereReady to shake things up?At Formo, you don’t just trade your labor for compensation - you join a mission.
